Battle Creek Community Foundation Gears Up For 2025 Block Party

Jul 31, 2025 | News

In the spirit of Calhoun County summer fun, the Battle Creek Community Foundation (BCCF) invites residents, families and friends to celebrate together at its Annual Meeting Block Party on Wednesday, August 20, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Taking over Michigan Avenue between Capital Avenue and McCamly Street, where BCCF is headquartered, this outdoor event will offer family-friendly activities, food from local eateries, music and a celebration of community. The event is free of charge for all who attend.

“With the great feedback from last year’s Block Party, we wanted to build on that impactful energy, gather again and embrace the diverse culture that makes up our community,” said Mary Muliett, BCCF CEO. “The best part of the Block Party is seeing people from every corner of the community interacting, enjoying music and activities, and having a good time. Thanks to our generous sponsors and vendors, we can offer this event to everyone free of charge.”

BCCF’s Annual Meeting is an opportunity to share the impact of community giving in action and learn about accomplishments in the last year.

Grant-making and funding efforts focus on BCCF’s three priorities of Education, Livable Communities and Food & Shelter. The BCCF Annual Impact Report will be unveiled at the event.

The 2024 Block Party celebrated BCCF’s 50th anniversary. The Battle Creek Community Foundation was started in 1974 with a goal to create ways to support and build the community forever, funding meaningful projects long into the future.

Funding efforts include grant-making from existing funds, building new endowment funds and donor-advised funds with interested organizations, and bestowing far-reaching educational scholarships. Donations come from individuals, families, corporations and organizations, and BCCF can work with interested parties to create growth opportunities that will far outlive them for the betterment of the community.
