Be a Changemaker

Do you see challenges in your school or community and wonder how to fix them? That’s what YAC is all about. The Youth Alliance Committee gives Battle Creek area high school students a real seat at the table to shape solutions, award grants, and lead projects that make life better for local youth.

YAC members aren’t just volunteers, they’re decision-makers, leaders, and changemakers who step up for their peers and the future of our community.

Who Can Join?

YAC is made up of representatives from all Battle Creek high schools.  We meet monthly and have two grantmaking rounds each year. Leadership opportunities include Social Media, Philanthropy, and Recruitment.

Battle Creek’s YAC is part of a statewide network of more than 80 Youth Advisory Committees across Michigan. Together, YACs manage millions of dollars in youth endowments and award grants to improve communities. You’ll be part of a powerful movement proving that youth voices can lead real change.
